Welcome to Tri-Travel, the website for triathletes and their families. This site is designed to help you find and rate races that will challenge you as an athlete, and hopefully offer options for post-race fun for the entire family.
The idea for Tri-Travel sprang from our love of Triathlon. We live in Colorado, travel for work and have family in California. After traveling out of state for races (and meeting other athletes that do the same) we realized the need for a resource. Why not have a site that shared race information and tips for traveling with family to turn a race into a family vacation? So please share your travel and race experience and the potential luxuries/attractions of various venues. This site is for you!

June 4, 2006 Escape from Alcatraz
The Accenture Escape From Alcatrazsm Triathlon course includes a 1.5 mile swim from Alcatraz Island in the San Francisco Bay. The race continues with an 18 mile bike ride out the Great Highway, through the Golden Gate Park, and concludes with an 8 mile run through the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. The Scott Tinley’s Adventures offers seven races throughout the Friday-Sunday weekend where participants can compete in individual events of various skill levels or can join in the “Toughest” – three event competitions. August 25-27, 2006 Chicago Triathlon
With over 7,500 participants and 100,000 spectators, the Accenture Chicago Triathlon is known as the world's largest triathlon. This year it will become official with an attempt to set a World Record for the World's Largest Triathlon. Learn More >>>
